1. About these terms

These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and Debii Technologies Limited (“Debii”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in the Federal Republic of Nigeria with registration number RC 9864271, the operator of the Debii website and application. By creating an account or using Debii, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What Debii is

Debii is personal debt-recording and repayment-tracking software. It allows users to record money owed, track balances and repayments, share reminders, and request debt acknowledgement or repayment confirmation.

3. What Debii is not

Debii does not issue loans, provide credit, collect debts on behalf of users, hold customer funds or transfer repayments between individuals. Actual repayments take place independently of Debii, directly between the people involved.

The records in Debii are entered by users. Debii does not verify the existence, accuracy or enforceability of any debt, and is not a party to any arrangement between users. Nothing in Debii constitutes financial or legal advice.

4. Your account

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account.

5. Your records and responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the records you enter, and for ensuring you have a legitimate basis to record information about another person.

When you share reminders or requests, you must do so respectfully and lawfully. You must not use Debii to harass, intimidate or mislead anyone, or to record false or fraudulent information.

6. Shared links and requests

Content you share through Debii's sharing options (including acknowledgement and repayment confirmation requests) can be viewed by anyone who receives the link. Responses given through shared requests are recorded as provided. The other person does not need a Debii account to review or respond to a request.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Debii Plus is an optional annual software subscription costing ₦1,000 per year. Subscription payments are processed through Paystack. Debii does not store your full payment card details.

Subscriptions do not renew automatically. When your subscription period expires, you can choose to renew it manually if you wish to continue using Debii Plus.

Debii Plus subscription payments relate only to software features. They are entirely separate from any personal debts you record in Debii: Debii does not issue loans, collect debts, hold customer funds or transfer repayments between individuals, and actual repayments take place independently of the platform.

Refund requests for Debii Plus subscriptions are reviewed individually. Users may contact debiidev222@gmail.com with their payment details and the reason for their request. Each request will be assessed based on its circumstances and applicable law.

8. Account deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting debiidev222@gmail.com. When a user requests account deletion, their account and associated records are deleted, subject to any information that must be retained to comply with applicable legal obligations.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Debii, including by attempting to access accounts or data that are not yours, interfering with the service, or using the service for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

10. Intellectual property

The Debii name, logo, website and application are the property of Debii Technologies Limited. The records you enter remain yours.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Debii is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Debii Technologies Limited is not liable for any disputes between users, for losses arising from reliance on records entered in Debii, or for any indirect or consequential damages.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Debii after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
