1. Who we are

Debii is operated by Debii Technologies Limited (“Debii”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in the Federal Republic of Nigeria with registration number RC 9864271. You can contact us at any time at debiidev222@gmail.com.

Debii is a personal debt-recording and repayment-tracking software platform. Debii does not issue loans, provide credit, collect debts on behalf of users, hold customer funds or transfer repayments between individuals. Actual repayments take place independently of Debii.

2. Information we collect

Account information: the details you provide when creating an account, such as your name and email address, along with the credentials used to secure your account.

Records you enter: the information you choose to record in Debii, such as the names or labels of the people involved, amounts, currencies, due dates, notes and repayment entries.

Requests and shared links: when you share a reminder, acknowledgement request or repayment confirmation request, the content of that request and any response given through it.

Subscription information: your Debii Plus status and related transaction references.

Technical information: basic device, log and usage information needed to operate, maintain and secure the service.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to operate and maintain Debii, sync your records across your devices, enable reminders and shared links, process subscriptions, respond to support requests, improve the service and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Sharing and disclosure

Shared links: anyone who receives a link you share (for example through WhatsApp) can view the content of that link. Please share links only with the people you intend to reach.

Service providers: we use trusted third-party providers for services such as hosting and payment processing. These providers process limited information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services.

Legal requirements: we may disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the public.

5. Payments

Debii Plus is an optional annual software subscription costing ₦1,000 per year. Subscription payments are processed through Paystack, our third-party payment provider. Debii does not store your full payment card details.

Subscription payments relate only to optional software features and are entirely separate from any personal debts you record. Debii never collects, holds or transfers repayments owed between users.

6. Account deletion and data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the service.

When a user requests account deletion, their account and associated records are deleted, subject to any information that must be retained to comply with applicable legal obligations.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may ask questions about how your information is handled, by contacting us at debiidev222@gmail.com.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Debii is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
